My grandfather lived in South City St. Louis and worked as a tool and die maker for most of his life. He was a member and proud supporter of his local Union. (See Union Article.) The Union helped this humble blue collar worker and his family to enter the middle class and offer a better opportunity for his family. His three sons went on to become an engineer, a teacher, and a business owner respectively. I have not forgotten what the Union did for my grandfather’s family and future generations. I take personal pride in helping union members with their legal situations.
